Scarecrow Festival

We took the Marcons with us to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point back in October. I'm really excited for the years to come when our kids can actually participate but it was still fun for Tash & I. The men were some what of party poopers- I don't understand why they didn't like the blow up slides, race course, train ride, or the uber spooky haunted house.

After freezing our bums off we headed over to Smiths for some cookies & a movie.
Aren't they so cute in there!?

Baby Day Expo

A couple weekends ago we attended the expo & although it was a fourth the size it was last year it was still fun.

We ran into the GTU stars Reagan & Nicea- I record the show everyday.

For lunch we hit up Chick-fil-a~ {i heart}

What a lucky boy to be next to two cute girls! -Tayslee Roberts and Payden Marcon

SFG Certification!

Last month I attended a 3 day Square Foot Gardening certification course to become a certified teacher. It took place in Eden & lucky for me Huntsville is right next to Eden & my in-laws have a vacation home up there. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The biggest thing I learned was that there is a lot more to SFG than just gardening. Mel Bartholomew (the master mind/inventor) is slowly but successfully solving world hunger. The stories of what SFG has done overseas & in 3rd world counties is amazing! I have a new goal, which is, to one day be able to participate in humanitarian work overseas by teaching SFG.

Mel and I

T, Grayden & T's dad went up as well so they could do some up keep on the house. I guess Grayden loved the 4-wheeler. I thought they were confused bc he looks so pissed off in these pics but I guess he would freak out when they tried to take him off.

Brush Brush!

Grayden loves to brush his teeth. He will pitch a fit every time we take the toothbrush from him.

He is such a copier & catches onto things pretty quick. Brush, brush- rinse. Brush, brush- rinse.

Yes, Grayden Is Walking

I know, I know I'm slow at posting but I've been catching up. So Grayden has been walking for a while now. The week of Sept. 6th (1 yr & 3 weeks old) is when he really was starting to try- like more then just a couple steps here & there. Then the next week I'd consider him truly walking. (So 13 months old). Here's a quick clip. He was about to go down for his nap so he gets whiny towards the end.

Grayden's 1 Year Pics

I'm super happy with how they turned out especially since he was a major stink bug. This was his photographer http://caroline-rebecca.blogspot.com. She's my cousin or cousin-in-law bc she married my cousin...? Anyway she's great, & lives in Highland. Here is a couple of my favorites.

First Horse Ride

Being a Thanksgiving Point member we go to Farm Country quite a bit but this was the first time I put Grayden on the horse. He didn't like so much but Bos sure did!

Lightning McQueen

The Founy's next door have all sorts of power wheels in their garage. One of which is this Lightning McQueen car. This is the only one Grayden can safely participate in so I shoved him in with Bos who wasn't too happy at first but got over it.

You can tell he's my son bc he also can't open his eyes very well on a sunny day. (My dad & I have very sensitive eyes & are always squinting.)

Garden Update- The Harvest!

Here is a pic of me holding most of the carrots. The 2nd pic is of cutting up the carrots as well as zucchini & yellow squash & putting them in gallon zip lock bags. It's kinda nice knowing I'll have fresh frozen veggies till next spring!

1 Year Stats~

(So this post has delayed me on keeping up on my posting, but I've misplaced it so you'll have to check back later to see it once I've found it. Sorry but I wanna keep events in order so this way I can move on to more posts.)

Grayden's 1st Birthday!!

On August 16th, 2009 my baby boy turned 1!! Just like everyone says- the time flies! Well his birthday fell on a Sunday so we just had some family & friends come over for cake & ice cream (but I forgot to serve the ice cream- oops. My mind was on crazy). It was a bit crowed but hopefully still fun. I had a "Prince" theme going on, I hung up pics of Grayden all over and I made a Prince "crown" cake. (first time ever doing such a task besides helping with Cohen's dinosaur). Anyway pics & video to follow...

Thanks again for coming & to my special helpers & for all those great gifts!

First PB & J!!

He Loved IT!

Cowabunga Bay & Lagoon

My lil' sis McKenzie came to stay with my grandparents at the beginning of August. We got to do some fun stuff while she was here. Most of us were able to go to Cowabunga Bay in Draper & the kiddos loved it especially Grayden. He got so mad when I took him out for a pic (2nd pic). It was a bit windy but a pretty cool place. Later in the week I was able to go to Lagoon & that new roller coaster is AwEsOmE!

McKenzie- who is having a lot more fun then this pic would suggest.

BIG THX to my grandparents for all this fun!!

Naartjie Photoshoot

Grayden was lucky enough to be chosen by Peekaboo Photography to be in their Naartjie photo shoot. Here is the pic Peekaboo posted on their blog.

Grayden loved all the attention he was getting at the photo shoot! He was super happy & this pic is the first time he stood by himself. I was so nervous that he was going to fall forward bc there is a big drop off right there. Now I just need to find a catalog.
