Seriously- who doesn't love this place? It is so much fun! Especially durning birthday week bc they have all these extra activities & all the dinos wear hats.
T's fam have a getaway home in Huntsville. We always go there for the 4th & in the morning we head out to the town's breakfast. We use to always eat it in Huntsville but the last couple yrs have switched to Liberty's bc it is way better. There are a lot of fun activities for the kids & booths to buy from. We got Grayden a ride on the tractor catapillar but when it came down to it he would not ride alone. So yes I am the oldest person on that thing by like 2o yrs!
Whenever we use eggs we keep the empty shell in the carton. Once they're all used we then add the shells to the compost basket. Well one time after using all the eggs we left the carton a little too close to the edge of the counter & while I was upstairs getting ready my little peach must of climbed on that bucket & grabbed the carton & then crushed all the shells all over the floor. Joy.
Who doesn't love the Zoo? Grayden had a great time with his friend Payden looking at all the different animals. We even saw the famous Baby Zuri.
This was so cool. The orangutan (i think that was his kind) came right up to the window & did like a bouncy dance move for the kiddos. He loved them & tried to get them to react like they were the show instead of him.
T's parents are very involved in the Sandy Boys & Girls Club. Every year they have some kind of Galla to raise money for it. It was at La Caille & normally people with our financial income don't usually attend such an event but T's parents thought it would be fun for them & all of there kids to share a table & enjoy the night. It was a lot of fun & the food was fantastic!
I put Grayden in "survival" swimming lessons this summer. It wasn't easy to watch at first & he cried a bit but other then that I think it went well. I love that he has some of the basics down & now I can feel a bit at ease at the pool.
His favorite part was diving for the sticks at the end of each lesson. He loved it so much we went out & bought the same sticks like the ones pictured.
It was oober fun to get away for the weekend with no babies! It was the first time for me & it was very relaxing. We sun bathed, swam, hot tubed, shopped, ate yummy food & just relaxed! I went with 2 of my closest friends...
Easter afternoon was spent at my mom's. We always have an egg hunt but it's usually just the adults. Since we all have kids now we decided that this year would be just the kiddos. Our egg hunts have always been very competitive & if you watch the video you'll notice that even though we adults aren't doing it we still can't get it out of our system & are pushing our kids to do the same. Poor Grayden had enough from our home earlier that he just didn't care about this one & us parents couldn't not care & got some what frustrated with the situation.
We had a wonderful Easter morning & really enjoyed Grayden on his mini egg hunt. He caught on immediately! It was a lot of fun. ( I got this wonderful basket at DI & spray painted it. I love when thrifting pays off!)
(In the video if you're wondering why we keep talking about his legs being hurt the reason is this. The day before climb-ee climber-son decided to try & climb up on that side table next to the stairs & totally pulled it down onto him landing it on his legs. I totally thought he broke them but luckily he just ended up with a few bruises.)
One day I guess Grayden was more tired then usual bc he got up on the couch next to T & just laid down & passed out. He has never done that before & still hasn't. It totally surprised us.
I thought is was so cute!
He can fall asleep in the car just fine but not so much the house unless it's that comfy crib.
This was the first time he discovered he could climb up to the table. Soon after he learned to get on to it which meant I could no longer have anything on the table. Then came standing on top of the table & now today he has to get himself into his booster seat all by himself. He'll go across the table from his booster & climb up that chair & then crawl/walk across the table & lower himself into his booster. If you try to hurry the process & try to lift him into the booster yourself a major tantrum will follow. He is very much into the "must do it myself" stage.
Grayden went through this stage where he loved The Flintstones. Nope I'm not talking about the cartoon I'm talking about the motion picture with Halle Berry & John Goodman. Why? Not really sure, probably bc everything is extra large & simple & there's dinosaurs. I don't know but if he was in a bad mood we could turn that on & everything would be okay.
