New Years Eve 2010
Christmas 2009
Christmas was great as always! Grayden loved the reindeer from Thanksgiving Point- he didn't want to leave & it was freezing.
Grayden played the angel in the family reenactment of Christ's Birth.
Huntie

Carter

We made out like bandits as usual- especially Grayden.
Thanks again for our awesome gifts/money!
I Can't Freaking Wait!!
Family Pics 2009
These were taken at the beginning of December. They were taken by an aspiring photographer that Cami found. It was absolutly frigid out. Little boys were not happy but I think we got some good ones anyway.
Here you go dad!
Black wall + 4 blonds = Oh so many fly aways!
The Founy's
The Sheff's
The ONLY smile we got from this kid.
Not a smile- sun in the eyes squint.
Oh & my favorite pics...
My mom really wanted a pic with the grandsons- what do you get with 7 boys ages 5 & under, snowing cold weather, & a camera in their faces....
Grayden trying to escape, Collin trying to console sad Huntie, Cohen trying to hold back Grayden, Carter getting impatient & Bosten HAD to have that blanket or a huge fit would erupt.
Another attempt.
(notice Bos w/out that blanket)
We gotta Climber!!
One morning while sitting on the couch watching Studio 5 Grayden decided to try out one of life's extreme sports. It started out with him yanking down this extremely heavy metal basket filled with years of Ensign magazines. I was pretty impressed that he was strong enough to pull it down & even more impressed that he didn't break his foot. Next, well scroll & see...
I love his facials bc he knows he shouldn't be doing this & you can tell he's thinking "How long will she let me get away with this?"
Oh just wait...

Can you believe that!? I had a quick decision to make: Take the pic or save him from busting his head open. Well you can see which I chose. ( I knew he had it under control :)

Back down to safety. What a major stinker!
I'm crossing my fingers that he doesn't figure out how to escape the crib yet.
Thanksgiving 2009
Twi-Hard!
Ouch! I'm so behind- I know!
Yes, on November 20, 2009 @ 6:00pm I saw New Moon. No I wasn't a mid-nighter like most of you but I did spend probably twice as much for a private showing- which was worth it bc they make it a lot of fun. I went to the same one for Twilight.
I liked this movie A LOT better then Twilight. It's nice when the production finally has enough money to make the movie. Oh & lets not forget to mention Jacob- Humina, humina, humina!!! I debated on this blog title to be called Ja-Hard! Seriously, could his body be any better? It's not that I'm lusting over a 17 year old I just think his trainer did every right. It's so abnormally perfect you just can't stop staring!
Anyway I'm a true Team Edward but my friend Jo stated it perfect on her blog... "Edward owns the books, but Jacob takes the screen"!

So I couldn't tell you the last time I wore eyeliner & I never wear lipstick but I thought "why not", I'm having a girls night out no baby...
My husband wasn't too excited about this $30 shirt but I used a free $10 gift certificate that I found on the web couple of months back. Oh & I will wear it at least 2 more times! My necklace says "Forks" on one side and "Bite Me" on the other.
Grayden's Rough November & 15 Month Check up
So the rough month actually started at the end of October with the 2 flu shots. The seasonal on the 28th & the H1N1 on the 30th. Not only did I make him suffer for 4hrs & 20 mins in the H1N1 line outside in the freezing cold but once he finally fell asleep..... poke- WHAAAAAA! (so sad). Then a week later came on partial flu symptoms (the shots weren't in affect yet) with 104.5 temp also some pink eye from my sisters kids which caused this eye infection- which also caused a minor ear infection. A trip to the pediatrician, also to the ear doctor and 10 days later (after the antibiotic ran its course) all better for his 15 month Well Baby check up. Add another 3 shots from that visit. A couple weeks later he was due for the 30 day flu shot boost- 2 more shots. Finally ending his torcher with a check up with the ear doctor on Dec 3rd.
Besides Grayden I got strep throat out of nowhere & had to go to the Instacare on Nov 15th. (FYI the Highland & Saratoga Instacare's are closed on Sunday but Sandy is open. Best to call before heading out, unlike us.) I opted to get the shot not knowing it was the infamous "peanut butter" shot. Wow! That was sure a treat. I handle shots pretty well I think with being on acutane, donating plasma, TB, & other shots from life but man, peanut butter is right! My tooshie was sore for a couple of days. I hope I didn't scare any of you from ever getting that shot. If I were to get strep again I'd still choose the shot. It wasn't that bad just unexpected.
7 shots +
4 doctors appt +
1 trip to the Instacare = $105 in Co Pays!!!
+
2 prescriptions = $125!!!
(But I am very thankful for modern medicine:)
I forgot to take pics in the beginning. This is when his eye finally started to look better. It looked way worst then this. He couldn't open his eye before.

At his Well Baby check up. He knew exactly what was coming & did NOT want to be there.
15 month stats:
Weight- 20.7 lbs (5th%)
Height- 30 in. (20th%)
Head- 18.5 in. (45th%)
- Besides "mama" & "dada" his first word was probably banana or "nana". He loves bananas! Every morning when I grab him from his crib & start walking down the stairs he starts going, "nana" "nanana", until I give him one.
- He's a climber! (pics to come) When he's done eating he'll start to climb out of his high chair. He's so dang skinny he'll just weasel his way out. We've had a couple close saves. I need to find the straps to put back on, we took them off after his bday cake mess.
- He does "more" & "all done" in ASL all the time now.
- Still refuses white milk but loooves chocolate.
- He throws a tantrum every time we lay him down on the changing table. I have to literally wrestle him. It's sooo frustrating & exhausting!
- He B-lines it into our bathroom when opened & throws out all of my stuff - hair brushes, makeup brushes, contacts, anything he can get his hands on.
- When the opportunity presents it's self (like people forgetting to close the door) he will play in the dog food & the toilet bowl.
- It takes a lot of self control to not crawl in that crib with him at night when he's sound asleep. So precious!
- He's a little stink bug sometimes but sooo loved!
