On August 16th, 2010 Grayden turned 2! We decided to go to Chick-fil-a for dinner, open some family presents & have a red velvet Bundt Cake. His party will be on the 20th.

Oh Sippy Cups!

Grayden is obsessed with his sippy cups. He treats them almost like a security blanket. He'll walk over to the fridge and whine, we'll give him 1 then he'll tuck it under his arm, whine for another & so on till he has them all. (1 is for water, juice, & milk) It's not like he will really drink them all he just wants to have them close by.

This child has been in the "No" phase too long. He refuses to say "yes" & it's really frustrating. In this video I try to mix "yes" in with a few other words to see if I can get him to say it.
A Shower for Baby Bennett
August 9th 2010Us friends threw a shower for Tessa Colledge. We are so excited for her to become a mom & I believe I speak for everyone in saying she is the most prepared/experienced pre-mother. She is so willing & helpful with everyone's babies- definitely a born nurturer.
We love you Tessa & are so happy you're finally becoming a mommy!

Grayden loved Cowabunga! He did so good and was so brave. He also really loves watching the bucket spill. He didn't love the slides so much, I think bc we went really early so the water was a little chilly & he doesn't like being splashed in the face. Anyway we had a good time there with Tash & Payden.
Our kids sure know how to smile for the camera. The sun is also in there eyes but seriously how ridiculous are these faces?

July 23, 2010Cami bought a shelf from there the other day & of course the kids wanted to climb all over it. It turned out to be kinda cute.
Oh do you see that thing around Grayden's & Bosten's wrists? That there is called the "Kinder Kord". My little peach is very, very sneaky- one minute he's there, 15 seconds later he's gone. I bought this "leash" so to not lose him & to give me some peace of mind. Well the older cousins think it's cool to "walk" Grayden & sometimes they have to take turns. In this pic it was Bosten's turn. Kind of funny considering the age difference.

In the car if T & I put our sunglass on Grayden thinks he should have some too. I let him borrow an old pair of mine. If the sun is in his eyes he freaks out like the sun is stabbing him. Such a joke!!

Seriously- who doesn't love this place? It is so much fun! Especially durning birthday week bc they have all these extra activities & all the dinos wear hats.

4th of July 2010
T's fam have a getaway home in Huntsville. We always go there for the 4th & in the morning we head out to the town's breakfast. We use to always eat it in Huntsville but the last couple yrs have switched to Liberty's bc it is way better. There are a lot of fun activities for the kids & booths to buy from. We got Grayden a ride on the tractor catapillar but when it came down to it he would not ride alone. So yes I am the oldest person on that thing by like 2o yrs!
