Easter Egg Hunt

April 23rd, 2011

Our annual easter egg hunt @ Gma Katy's.
As always they're very competitive since we adult obviously miss when we used to hunt & are living vicariously through our kids. Grayden could move a lot faster this year which was great and he seemed to care which was even better.

Well done my boy, well done.

The Mayan

April 22nd, 2011

This place hasn't had the best track record but we had a BOGO coupon as well as the Marcons & decided to give it another try. I'm happy to say that it is a lot better. We thought the food was just fine but the show & atmosphere had definitely improved. Grayden loved the show so much that he didn't eat anything and sat at that rock the entire time & would flip when you moved him.

(no idea who old man is)

The Boys & Girls Club Gala

April 9th, 2011

This fundraiser gala is hopefully becoming a tradition because it is always a lot of fun with yummy food. This year it was at the Hidden Valley Country Club. They had a celebrity impersonator who was quite entertaining.

The Dress
I was super stressed trying to find a cute black tie dress that would work with me being pregnant. Luckily I found this & fell in love. They're just aren't many maternity dressed that are flattering on me in my opinion. And even more important- it's super comfortable.

This is me 22 wks pregnant with boy #2.

Jagger

Check out this goober in his hat phase. The bigger & uglier the hat the better.

He is so goofy!

Payden's 2nd Birthday Party

March 26th, 2011

Natasha put on a super fun party. It was Seasame Street themed with a petting zoo on the side.
(I'm so mad I thought I got a pic of her cute Seasame St display!)

The kids got to feed carrots to the animals, have a cookie monster eating contest, went on a Big Bird egg hunt & we even saw one of the horses give birth! It was loaded with fun.
Lots of springtime babies!
Keep reading to find out what this jack-ass did to my son...
pigmea goats...
One of Big Bird's eggs filled with candy.

When the horse was giving birth the owner took the donkey out of the pasture bc it was biting on the horse. So while we were all distracted watching the birth, that donkey walks right between T & Grayden & totally bites down on his shoulder (thankfully he was wearing the hoodie) & actually lifts him off the ground! T realized what was about to happen right before but a second too late & punched it in the neck. Grayden started to cry & said "Daddy donkey owe!" So sad :(
Luckily it only broke the skin a little leaving a bruise. I don't even want to know what it would look like if he wasn't wearing the hoodie.
Thanks for the fun party Marcon's!

Happy Birthday Payden!

March 21st, 2011

Since Payden's party wasn't until the weekend Tasha wanted to do something fun still on her birthday so we went to Kangaroo Zoo to celebrate. These kids love this place & the mommies do too. We can sit & talk while the kiddos get exhausted for a great nap.

Hungry?

February 21st, 2011

We were upstairs one day & heard the closing of the refrigerator & then some mumbling with a clear "Amen!" afterward. So I quietly step down the stairs & peek around to see him eating strawberries at his new table & now understanding that he even blessed it first! This was all a huge shock to us. He's never really grabbed anything from the fridge but cheese sticks & the fact that he even thought about it & took the time to pray was just amazing to us. One of those payoffs for a parent.

Of course he only takes 1 bite out of each strawberry.

Nighty Night Grayden

January 16th, 2011

One night when Grayden wasn't feeling well after I put him down he started whinning. So I went in there & this is what I saw. Glow sticks work great when he's having a hard time wanting to go to bed. His snuggie & water cup are very important bedtime items.

February 1st, 2011

I was sent a whole box full of homeopathic medicine to try out & Grayden loved the honey cough syrup. We thought this was funny. We gave him the bottle when it was empty & this is proof how much he liked it.

Christmas 2010

We had a very Merry Christmas as always this year. Well to be completely honest I was miserable. I was around 7 wks pregnant & feeling so plagued with pregnancy symptoms. Grayden had a great day though. He loved this train table! He was so sad when we had to rip him from it to do the "rounds". When we finally got home from visiting both families he was sooo tired & I think he kind of forgot about it. Grayden was laying his head down on T's shoulder & I said "Grayden do you want to play with your choo choo train?" His head shot right up, he jumped down & ran over to it now wide awake. It was so funny & cute.

We're very fortunate for all the great gifts we received.
Thank you, thank you!

Silly Moment

December 9th, 2010

T and I both wear contacts so at night, before bed, we put on our glasses. Grayden finds them very interesting. One day I found that he discovered his Mr. Potato Head had a pair of blue glasses...

I thought this was hilarious. He can be so goofy at times.
Love Him!

Fall 2010 Family Pics

November 27, 2010

As always it was a frigid day. Dare us to do this a couple months earlier. I think we still got some good ones though.

Round and Round

November 15th 2010

For Gavin's (cousin) birthday we went to Monkey Island and the young-ins sure loved the carousel.

A Sad Day

On Monday November 8th, 2010 my grandpa passed away unexpectedly. He was such an amazing grandpa and an excellent example of how a husband, father, son, brother, etc should be. I realized during this time how little I knew about him & wish I would've talked to him about his life more before he passed. He was a quiet man that was always paying attention and cared a lot about his family. I will never forget his famous phrases...

Did you have a "crunchy lunch"?
Come on Lois it's time to "head north".
Did you "mingle with the saints" today?
I hear you got "promoted in the faith".
"What's your name"?

I have yet to meet a better man.
